Beginning February 17, 2010, all Business Associates of the Washington Counties Insurance Fund became HIPAA Covered Entities.  This means that every employer group under WCIF/WCIP must adhere to the privacy and security rules under HIPAA law.

Because many WCIF/WCIP groups are not completely familiar with basic HIPAA compliance and/or the new requirements being added to HIPAA law, WCIF/WCIP is hosting this training session.  Training will be conducted by WCIF/WCIP attorney Howard D. Bye of Stoel Rives, LLP, in Seattle.
